Dead Videos
Reporting Videos
If the video you are trying to watch is dead or removed, look under the video to, “Report Video.”
Reporting a series
If a video is dead, it is a good idea to look ahead and report all dead videos in the series with a single report, by doing so you are helping the mods get to the reports faster, and lowering the total number.
Clearing Cache
Clearing your cache opens up free space for more video to fit in to, sometimes your video won’t load, this may be problem. For instructions on how to clear your cache, click HERE
Site Questions
What does the Staff do?
Staff members add new videos and fix the old, they watch over the chat and take care of anything that needs to be taken care of around the site.
Becoming a Staff Member
Be smart and active in the chat, and don’t ask if you can become one. If one is needed, and you fit the bill, someone will ask you.
How do I help the site
Going through popular series and making a list of the dead videos is the best way to help.
Searching the site
There are a few ways to find what you are looking for, at the top right is an ABC list where you just click the first letter of your anime name, below that is a search bar, where you simply type in a word that appears in the name and press enter, the, “ANIME LIST” button that brings you to a list of all available series, the, “Genres” button that brings you to a list of all genres, the, “Movies” button that brings you to a list of all movies, and the front page which is a list of all the latest anime.
Downloading Videos
Two of the video hosts we use offer download options, Zshare and Megavideo. With megavideo you must have a paid account to download.
Getting rid of the popping sound
In the bottom left of the chat box there is a speaker icon, make sure it is turned off.
Requesting Anime
To request an anime simply click on the Staff button at the top of the page and message one of the mods, preferably one that is online.
What does (insert here) mean?
Raw
A raw video is what comes straight out of Japan, the subbers have not done a thing to it yet.
OVA
OVA stands for Original Video Animation. This means it did not air on TV like most other anime.
Subbed
Sub stands for Subtitles, this is what we add for most videos.
Dubbed
Dubbing is the post-production process of recording and replacing voices on a motion picture or television soundtrack subsequent to the original shooting. Generally dubbed anime has been edited, so we try to only use subbed.
Chat Rules
1)Keep the topic to no more than that which would be found in a PG(13) rated movie.
2)No backgrounds on paid accounts.
3)Keep your text under size 14.
4)If a mod can not read your font, change it.
5A)No black names or text.
5B)If your text is too dark for a mod to read, change it.
6)No hate speech.
7)No impersonating the staff.
8)No languages other than English.
9)No exchanging of personal information(you can do it in private if you wish).
10)No posting of irrelevant links.
11)No speaking of other anime sites.
12)You are allowed to post no more than 1 YouTube video every 10 minutes.
13)Keep picture posting to a minimum.
14)No typing in all capital letters.
15)keep role playing to a minimum(it is considered spam)
16)Keep the use of vulgar language to a minimum.
17)If a mod tells you to stop, stop.
If you don’t understand why we have a rule, ask a staff member and they will provide you with a reason.
Banning.
Mods reserve the right to ban you for whatever reason they feel necessary, in the event that you are banned you will be un-banned at the mod’s discretion.
If you are not sure that you are banned, simply speak(say hello), and refresh. If your message disappears after you refresh, you are banned.
No mods are online
If there is no mod attending to the chat, flag the person who is breaking the rules.
Hiding the chat
If you are loged on an account, log off. From there you click the X at the top right of the chat box.
Pictures
To post a picture in the chat, right click the image and press, “Copy Image Location” and paste it into the chat box.
Videos
To add a video from YouTube simply paste the URL of a video which had embedding enabled in to the chat.
Accounts
To make a chatango account simply press the, “Set name here” button on the chat box, then press the, “Sign up” button, and enter your account name, password, and email address. Note: Email is only used for password recovery, Chatango sends out no spam; also you do not have to use a real email address, but that is the only way to recover the password.
Password Recovery
To recover your password simply open Chatango, press log in, and, “Forgot password?”
